Bespectacled former MTV veejay Kennedy – whose full name is Lisa Kennedy Montgomery – gave birth to a daughter on July 1 in Los Angeles, a rep for the 32-year-old personality confirms to PEOPLE.
The girl’s name is Pele Valentina. The father is Kennedy’s husband of five years, Dave Lee, a former professional snowboarder who now teaches snowboarding.
It is a first child for both.
Besides her star-making appearances on the music cable network’s Hangin’ with MTV and Alternative Nation, Kennedy, an outspoken political conservative, has been a regular panelist on VH1’s Best Week Ever and the syndicated Hollywood Squares.
