David Shore is a Canadian writer best known for creating the television series House. Born in London, Ontario in 1959, he studied law at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto before becoming a corporate lawyer. He eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television and wrote for shows like NYPD Blue, Family Law, and Due South.
Despite initially being passed on by NBC, House was eventually picked up by FOX and became a huge hit. Shore won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series in 2005 and the Writers Guild of America Award for the season premiere titled “Broken” in 2010.
