Much as the situation tempts us to ransack our winter wardrobe and layer with wild abandon, there is no reason to compromise on style – as evidenced by Hailey Bieber's latest service to fashion.

So far this season the supermodel's outerwear game has been nothing short of extraordinary. Between serving 'Old money' in a luscious £12k Saint Laurent faux fur and rocking an ultra-broad chocolate brown tailoring piece on her coffee run, the 26-year-old has set the bar sky high.

However, never one to shy away from a challenge, Hailey outdid herself on Monday when she stepped out on the streets of California in a piece that felt long overdue a revival. Giving the retro-style fleece a stylish update, the Rhode founder looked toasty, and utterly unfazed by the cold, in a colourful oversized piece by Conner Ives.

The half-zip sweater, crafted from a plush fleece, depicted a fiery mountain scene, and had an unmistakably retro feel about it on account of its warm, autumnal hues.

Despite its 1970s-inspired colour palette, a pop of vibrancy delivered via contrasting piping provided a certain freshness. But it was clear that the 'Dad vibes' were out in full force – Hailey styled her multi-coloured fleece with a pair of chunky sneakers, created by her beloved New Balance, alongside an emerald-green sports cap.

The supermodel topped off her look with a pair of rectangular tortoise shades and a neutral pair of cycling shorts – nodding to the gym looks often sported by Princess Diana, Hailey's personal style icon, in the 1980s.
