What is Kripparrian’s net worth? Who is Kripparrian’s wife?

Introduction

Kripparrian (real name – Octavian Morosan), also known as nl_Kripp or Kripp, is a Romanian-Canadian player of World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Path of Exile, and Hearthstone.

He achieved the world’s first hardcore Diablo kill on Inferno difficulty mode in Diablo 3.

Biography

Morosan was born on June 30, 1987, in Canada.

During college, he studied math and physics. At the same time, Octavian was part of Exodus, one of the top US WoW guilds.

He later dropped out of college and started to work as a computer technician.

In an interview with Vice, Morosan explained:

”I was going to school for math and physics, but I realized I don’t really like that field.”

Kripp went on to say:

”I was pretty miserable in school, and I didn’t really want to continue that for years and years to get a master’s.”

Octavian later added:

”So I dropped out and just found a job as a computer technician.”

In addition, Morosan began to upload World of Warcraft related videos on YouTube. He said:

”When I started making my own videos, I was living literally at the very top of the game world of WoW – I was the best guild in the US.”

With the release of Diablo 3 (May 15, 2012), Kripp started to focus on this game.

He actually completed the game on hardcore (on hardcore, a character is deleted instantly after just one death) inferno difficulty (the lowest monster level found on Inferno was 61) about 30 days after the release – before the patch 1.0.3, which made Diablo 3 easier.

After Diablo 3, he started to play Path of Exile, a free-to-play action role-playing video game published by Grinding Gear Games.

Hearthstone

Currently, he is the most followed Hearthstone streamer on Twitch.

Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital collectible card game from Blizzard, that was released on March 11th, 2014.

Morosan was one of 8 players invited by Blizzard Entertainment to participate in the 2013 Hearthstone Innkeeper’s Invitational at Blizzcon.

In 2014, he joined Team Solomid (TSM), a professional e-sports organization based in the US that was founded by Andy “Reginald” Dinh in September 2009.

During a 2014 interview, Kripp said about Hearthstone:

”It’s strategy, it’s fun, and it involves all the cool WoW characters I (and everyone else) love.”

Octavian continued:

”In contrast to many other games I have tried recently, Hearthstone is a game that I haven’t yet managed to get burned out on or bored of.”

In 2004, several thousand Hearthstone accounts found to be using automated software were banned by Blizzard Entertainment. The company stated:

”We’re committed to creating a fun and rewarding environment for our players.”

However, Kripparrian said about bots:

“In Hearthstone I feel that an occasional bot game does not really ruin the experience of a player.”

The streamer continued:

“The problem comes up when almost half of the ‘people’ you queue into end up being bots because you expect to play players, not AI when queuing up.”

He continued:

“It generally feels less of an accomplishment to defeat a bot than an actual player.”

In August 2015, Morosan achieved “Legend rank,” the highest ranking in Hearthstone’s ladder system.

Twitch

Morosan has more than 1.5 million followers on Twitch.

He said for Rolling Stone about how to be a successful streamer:

“People ask me what the secret to streaming is, and I tell them, stream for 14,000 hours. Because I think that’s how many I’ve streamed.”

Kripp later added:

“The reality is, I play very few games for very long periods of time so I can just really, really master them. And that’s what I like.”

Trivia

Octavian has two dogs, a Corgi named Fey and a German Shepherd named Dexter.

In October 2019, the Twitch streamer asked Blizzard to reconsider the Hearthstone star Blitzchung’s suspension from competing that was issued after sharing his support with the Hong Kong protesters in a post-game interview during the GrandMasters League.

Kripp said:

“I want to be clear that I support those protesting in Hong Kong. With such a large part of their country pushing for change, they are, and deserve to be on the right side of history.”

Other gamers reacted to Blitzchung’s ban, including collectible card game player Brian Kibler, who wrote on Medium:

“I won’t pretend to understand either the intricacies of the geopolitical situation in China and Hong Kong or the full extent of Blizzard’s business interests there, but to me, this penalty feels like it is deeply rooted in both.”

While testing the beta version of the Hearthstone Rise of Shadows expansion, Morosan found the Naturalize card on his deck. This is a card that was banned in Hearthstone’s Arena mode. He said:

“Found a card that shouldn’t be here. Anyone? Alright, I guess we won’t tell them.”

He is known for his preference for orange juice.

Kripp expressed his disappointment and concerns in a YouTube video when Ben Brode (a former Game Director for Hearthstone) left the game.

Octavian lived in Athens, Greece, for more than a year with his wife.

He is vegan.

In 2015, Morosan commentated on the Hearthstone World Championship at Blizzcon.
